Buffalo Grove is a village that resides in both Cook and Lake Counties within Illinois, and is considered a northern suburb of Chicago. With a high population of college educated individuals, relatively low crime and highly rated educational facilities, Buffalo Grove is considered a fantastic area to raise a family, and to live in general. It is also an area with rich history. The oldest structure that still remains is Saint Mary’s Church, which was constructed in 1899. Lou Malnatis Pizzaria operates out of the second oldest building in the village, culminating in an interesting blend of modern amenities meets historical beauty. Like many of the surrounding areas, Buffalo Grove was largely settled by European settlers moving from the east. The foundation of the plentiful bodies of water were ideal for farmland, and the area continued to grow as the railroad system came further west.
Buffalo Grove experiences fairly consistent weather throughout the months, most often in the lower ranges, especially when it comes to the winter months. Residents and visitors can expect fog, occasional thunderstorms and generally cloudy weather due to the effects of chilling, Northern winds and the surrounding Great Lakes and other bodies of water.

It is a place where fun is just a natural part of the offerings, be it with the theatres, bowling, sports or any of the other plentiful options.
